topics: [[time]],[[generations]]
Time-binding, a term introduced by Korzybski, Alfred, refers to the ability of one generation to pick up where the last generation left off.
Iβd never thought about this until reading this article, but of course! This is so interesting.
Fire was developed in one generation, tools in a later generation, until eventually we get to space travel and AI. This is distinctly humans. Maybe this is part of what makes us human.

2025-02-24 β donβt think the above is true; this also refers to knowledge and culture, tools and productivity are only one element.
Still need to research this, but it reminds me of One Hour One Life.
