{1.4a} one must unravel their personal myth
topics:
the goal of jungian psychology is to “unravel one’s personal myth” to craft our values, sense of meaning and pistis.
religion gives us frameworks that protect us from our unconscious, but also helpfully acts as a symbol to give shape to our spiritual experiences. (see {1.4a2} god as the greatest amount of libido.)
when we don’t intentionally engage / work with / develop our personal myth, we unconsciously adopt others’ frameworks or are “tormented by substitute gods” (money, sex, power, etc).
in this way, healing is a “religious problem”.
